Project: Libritos Chile

Libritos Chile is a pilot study of a cultural adaptation of Libritos: Disfrutando con mi bebé (Dillehay et al., under revised review). This is an explanatory mixed methods study. In this single-case non-concurrent multiple baseline across participants design (quantitative), we will test the effects of coaching parents on early book sharing engagement and language support strategies on their use of rich linguistic models during book sharing interactions with their very young children (18-30 months old). We will also conduct interviews with caregivers that will be qualitatively coded to access their perception of the effectiveness of the intervention for their child and the cultural appropriatness of the strategies they were taught.
