This study examined the effects of a therapist plus caregiver-implemented early communication intervention on child outcomes for Spanish-speaking children ages 30-42 months with developmental language delays. The design of the study was a randomized trial. 77 Spanish-speaking caregiver-child dyads participated. Participants were randomized to receive the intervention (16 hybrid parent coaching sessions + 16 therapist + child sessions over 6 months) or participate in a business as usual (BAU) control group. Assessments occurred at 4 points: pre, post, 6-month and 12-month follow-up and included observational, caregiver report, and standardized measures.
