This dataset contains data from Sample 1 of a longitudinal study examining the interplay among math anxiety, math interest, math confidence, and math performance in early elementary school children in the United States. Data were collected across two waves during the [2015–2016] school year.
It has been well established that higher math anxiety is associated with lower math performance. Thus, it is important to understand what individual-level factors might play a role in the math anxiety–performance relation to inform intervention efforts.
