Students are required to choose a stream in which they want to pursue their careers right from the beginning. This research examines the impact of having career guidance as early as 8th, 9th, or 10th grade on academic performance and programme satisfaction in undergraduate final-year students in India. Further, it examines the relationship between academic performance and student programme satisfaction. Three hundred and sixty-seven participants in their final year of the Undergraduate programme were recruited. The study noted a positive correlation between having and sticking to career guidance on programme satisfaction.
