Description: The data within this project comprise a four year longitudinal study assessing various aspects of literacy including decoding, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, working memory and writing. Participants were tested on all measures once a year, approximately one year apart.

Description: Word knowledge is critical for speaking, reading and writing, yet a substantial proportion of children with language impairment demonstrate poor word learning and consequently poor vocabulary. Because vocabulary has a causal relationship with reading comprehension, this presents a significant national health concern.

Description: In this study, we wanted to explore the support networks of instructional supervisors of beginning special education teachers and those of rural special education teachers, and how these networks relate to intent-to-stay in the field as a coach or special education teachers. We collected data across two waves.

Description: This dataset is longitudinal in nature, comprising data from school years (2007/2008-2010/2011) following students in grade 1 to grade 4. Measures were chosen to provide a wide array of both reading and writing measures, encompassing reading and writing skills at the word, sentence, and larger passage or text levels.

Description: This dataset incudes data from 248 second graders (7- to 8-year-olds) with typical development from three states. One hundred sixty-seven were monolingual English-speaking and 81 were dual Spanish- and English-speaking.
